Dean Willett & Sons Hints and Tips
- Make sure your boiler is serviced yearly to maintain the performance, and protect the remaining years of guarantee. The guarantee could be come void if the yearly service is not maintained.
- Note- All Worcester boilers we fit have a 5, 7, 10 or 12 year guarantee, including parts and labour.(only two small items are not guaranteed please ask for more details).
- Make sure your home has the correct size radiators in each room of your property.
- How old are your radiators? A modern boiler upgrade, operates better with modern efficient radiators.
- Make sure your heating controls are efficient with at least a "delayed start function" (ask for more details on the best controls for your boiler).
- Correct flow temperatures to meet the requirements of your home is of the upmost important. We will always make sure the optimum heating is maintained on a new installation, and we will also you make you aware of relevant information for you to also interact with your heating system if required.How old are your radiators? A modern boiler upgrade, operates better with modern efficient radiators.
Reliably Inefficient?
In most instances you may find that your trusted boiler in your home depending on the age, could still be very reliable, and has served you, and your family well.
You may well have great knowledge of how it works, and amassed a number of spare parts to keep your boiler running into the future, in anticipation of any problems which may occur.
However, the boiler is “reliable but inefficient”, compared to a new condensing boiler, and using more technically advanced controls.
Efficiently Reliable
This is the where you need to be positioned today. A new Worcester “A” rated boiler performs and can achieve over 90% efficiency. The controls selected to operate with the boiler are equally important. The controls need to be equipped with integral automatic adjustments, such as temperature measuring efficiency features (load compensation) as standard.
Controls that offer more than “delayed start” will mean greater efficiency savings in the future.
These controls will increase efficiency by +3%, when fitted with a new condensing boiler, to positively maintain the heating temperature, and efficiently utilise the timed control programming.
